The title, Askesis, refers to a metaphor (Greek: transport, transmission or allegory) of religious spaces, ascetics (ancient Greek term askesis: training or exercise) and epiphanies (Greek: realization, revelation, surface). Through a number of repetitive expressions and rhythmic movements, the artist responds to the space around him, in an attempt to discern how the physical and emotional body coexists with its environment.
